Description

How is an optician different from an optometrist and when do you need an ophthalmologist? Which eye diseases steal vision silently, which warning signs cannot wait, and what can today’s cataract surgeries really accomplish? In this presentation, ophthalmologist Matthew Hollar, MD, will explore eye health from cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, and retinal emergencies, while revealing the remarkable technologies now preserving and restoring sight. He will also cover on how insurance, consolidation, and corporate ownership are transforming the relationship among patients, physicians, and the businesses that deliver care, what these changes can improve, what they may put at risk, and how you can become a wiser healthcare consumer. Come find out who's really watching your eyes.
